Donna Martin
Donna Martin, from British Columbia, Canada, is a certified Hakomi therapist and international trainer who has been working closely with Ron Kurtz (the creator of the Hakomi Method) since 1991. Donna has many years of experience as a body-mind therapist and stress management specialist, yoga and meditation teacher, psychotherapist and addictions counsellor. She worked for several years as clinical supervisor and program developer of outpatient services at an Alcohol and Drug Counselling Centre in Canada.
Donna has led retreats, workshops, seminars and training's throughout Canada and the United States, Hawaii, Japan, Europe, Indonesia, South America, and Mexico. She co-leads Hakomi workshops and training's with Ron Kurtz in Oregon, Canada, Japan and Mexico.
Donna is also the co-author (with Paul Brenner M.D.) of Seeing Your Life Through New Eyes, which describes their original Family Triangles process for reviewing personal history and supporting insightful transformation, forgiveness, and healing relationships.
Donna is currently working on a book with Ron Kurtz to describe the most recent developments in the application of the new version of the Hakomi Method and the Practice of Loving Presence to many different life situations including psychotherapy, hospice, teaching, parenting, relationship, and community development. Donna and Ron are also in the process of creating a new association of teachers called the Hakomi Educational Network.
